WaveSkin privacy policy
WaveSkin is a music player for iPhone. It has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and Sync Haven runs no server for it. We don't collect, store or sell any information about you.
What stays on your iPhone
Your music files, playlists, play counts, skins, podcast subscriptions, favourite stations and settings are kept on your iPhone only. Deleting the app deletes them.
What the app sends, and to whom
To do what you ask, WaveSkin connects directly to these public services. Each request carries your device's IP address, as every internet request does. WaveSkin sends no device identifiers, no advertising identifier, no location and no contact details.
- Radio: when you browse, search or play a station, your search text goes to radio-browser.info, and the stream request to the station's own server.
- Skins: when you browse, search or download skins, your search text and the skin you pick go to the skin museum (api.webamp.org, r2.webampskins.org).
- Podcasts: your search text goes to Apple's podcast directory (itunes.apple.com). Feeds and episodes come from each podcast's own hosts.
- Headphone correction: the model you choose is fetched from the AutoEq project's files on GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com).
- Lyrics, in the visualizer view, when you turn them on: the playing song's artist and title go to lrclib.net.
- Last.fm, only if you connect your own account: what you play (artist, title, album, time) goes to your Last.fm account.
These services have their own privacy policies. WaveSkin sends them nothing beyond what's listed here.
Last.fm
If you connect Last.fm, you create your own Last.fm API account and approve WaveSkin on Last.fm's website. Your Last.fm key and session stay on your iPhone. You can disconnect in WaveSkin › Library › Last.fm at any time.
Children
WaveSkin doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page, with a new effective date.
